A B O U T  U S

Laura grew up in New York, and is a red headed Virgo. As a child Laura worked hard at driving her mother crazy, and it didn't stop until she moved out to attend Rhode Island School of Design where she majored in painting. While there she worked as a magicians assistant. I kid you not. She can make bunnies disappear like nobody else. She took up painting frames and mirrors in 1994 and developed a well known style and customer base. After 10 years though, it was time for a change. It started as just selling a bunch of her "stuff" on Ebay, but when the beads she was listing started selling well, she decided to run with it. Now, 3 years later she is still loving it, and waking up at night with beads in her bed.

Elspeth grew up in a tiny wooded town in RI, and she is a Gemini. She can catch turtles with her bare hands and knows what shoveling snow from a long driveway is like (not fun). Like any good Rhode Islander she thinks that driving out of the state takes FOREVER, and has frequented the Providence Place Mall more then once.

Elspeth has been an employee of Laramie Studios since she was an infant. Ok, not really, but it has been 10 years so far, and she shows no signs of quitting. She began working for Laura during the frame business days of the Studio, and has been with the beads since the beginning. She is in charge of customer service, shipping, and being really funny. She also has to give Laura shoulder rubs when she demands them. She likes long walks on the beach, moonlit dinners......wait.....that's her personal ad....

 And let's not forget Eliza, Elspeth's little sister, who works during the summer and on her school breaks. (If there is anything wrong with your order, she did it, not me.)
